Day 1, Islamabad to Hunza
Drive the Karakoram Highway via Besham and Chilas, with Nanga Parbat views along the way. Overnight in Karimabad.
Day 2, Baltit & Altit Forts
Explore Baltit Fort, ancestral home of the Mirs of Hunza, then Altit Fort, the oldest monument in the region. Sunset views over the valley.
Day 3, Attabad Lake & Passu Cones
Boat ride on the turquoise Attabad Lake, formed by a 2010 landslide. Continue to Passu for its famous jagged cone shaped peaks.
Day 4, Khunjerab Pass
Full day drive to Khunjerab Pass (4,693m) on the China border, the highest paved international border crossing in the world. Wildlife spotting en route.
Day 5, Return to Islamabad
Early departure along the KKH, arriving Islamabad by evening.
