Fairy Meadows is consistently the most popular trekking adjacent destination in Pakistan, and for good reason, genuine mountain scenery without an expedition level commitment.
Duration: A 3 to 4 day round trip is standard, including the jeep approach from the KKH and a moderate 2 to 3 hour walk to the meadows themselves.
Difficulty: accessible to most reasonably fit travelers, the walk itself is moderate rather than severe, though the jeep track approach is rough and not for the faint hearted.
What you'll see: Sweeping views of Nanga Parbat's northern face, alpine meadows, and (for those continuing further) Nanga Parbat Base Camp itself with additional trekking.
Best time: June September for full access and stable weather; some visitors extend into early October for autumn colour.
