The trek from Nagar Valley climbs through pine forest and high pasture before opening onto the lake itself, a moderate trek that delivers an expedition grade view without requiring technical climbing.
Trek Itinerary
Day 1, Karimabad to Hopar (Nagar)
Drive to Hopar village, base for the trek. Overnight guesthouse.
Day 2, Hopar to Miar Camp
Trek alongside Barpu Glacier through forest and pasture to Miar Camp (3,300m).
Day 3, Miar Camp to Rush Phari
Continue climbing to Rush Phari pasture (4,200m), acclimatising along the way.
Day 4, Rush Phari to Rush Lake
Final climb to Rush Lake (4,694m). Camp beside the lake beneath Miar and Diran Peaks.
Day 5, Rush Lake Exploration & Descend
Morning at the lake, then descend to Miar Camp or further.
Day 6, Return to Karimabad
Final descent to Hopar and drive back to Karimabad.
