Fairy Meadows is the most accessible way to stand beneath an 8,000m peak anywhere in the world, a jeep track, a two hour walk, and you are camped on an alpine meadow facing the north face of Nanga Parbat. This itinerary adds the walk on to Nanga Parbat Base Camp and Beyal Camp, with enough time to wait out a cloudy morning rather than gambling everything on one sunrise.

Day by Day Itinerary
Days 1 to 2, Islamabad to Chilas
Drive the Karakoram Highway through the Indus gorge, passing the junction of the Himalaya, Karakoram and Hindu Kush. Overnight at Chilas.
Day 3, Jeep to Tato, walk to Fairy Meadows
The notorious Raikot jeep track, then a 2 to 3 hour uphill walk to the meadows. Nanga Parbat comes into view as you arrive.
Day 4, Nanga Parbat Base Camp
Full day walk via Beyal Camp toward Nanga Parbat Base Camp and the Raikot Glacier, returning to Fairy Meadows in the evening.
Day 5, Fairy Meadows at leisure
A deliberate buffer day, short walks, the viewpoint above the meadow, and a second chance at a clear sunrise if Day 4 was cloudy.
Days 6 to 7, Descend and return
Walk down to Tato, jeep to Raikot Bridge and drive south, overnight en route, arriving Islamabad on Day 7.

Questions About This Tour
It is 2 to 3 hours uphill on a clear path, manageable for most reasonably fit travellers. Porters and mules are available for bags. The base camp walk on Day 4 is longer, 6 to 8 hours return, and optional.
It is rough and exposed, and some travellers find it frightening. The drivers are local specialists who run it daily. If you would rather not, the alternative is walking the track, which adds several hours.
Because Nanga Parbat is often in cloud. A one shot itinerary means a cloudy morning costs you the mountain entirely. Day 5 exists so you get a second chance, the single most common regret we hear from people who booked a shorter trip elsewhere.
