Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1, Islamabad to Chitral

Fly or drive to Chitral via Lowari Tunnel. Check in and rest, evening walk around Chitral town.

Day 2, Bumburet Valley & Festival Opening

Drive into Bumburet Valley, the largest Kalash valley. Attend the opening days of Chilam Joshi, music, dancing and traditional dress.

Day 3, Festival Continues & Rumbur Valley

Full day of festival participation and photography, with a visit to neighbouring Rumbur Valley to see local homes and the Kalash museum.

Day 4, Birir Valley & Chitral Fort

Visit the quieter Birir Valley, then return to Chitral town for Chitral Fort and the old bazaar.

Day 5, Return to Islamabad

Fly or drive back to Islamabad.
