Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1, Mughal Lahore
Lahore Fort, Badshahi Mosque, Wazir Khan and the Walled City, ending on the Food Street.
Day 2, Lahore to Islamabad
Shalimar Gardens in the morning, then the four hour motorway drive north. Afternoon at Faisal Mosque and Daman e Koh for the view over the capital.
Day 3, Taxila & Rawalpindi
The Gandhara sites at Taxila, Dharmarajika stupa, Sirkap and the museum, then old Rawalpindi's Raja Bazaar before your onward flight.
About four hours on the M2 motorway, which is a good road. We drive it mid morning on Day 2 so you lose as little sightseeing time as possible.
Yes, it is a 50 minute flight and we can substitute it. Most travellers find the motorway easier once transfers and check in are counted, but we are happy either way.
