Overview
Marsur Rock, in Hussainabad village near Skardu, is a dramatic sloping granite ledge often nicknamed "Pakistan's Trolltunga" for its resemblance to Norway's famous rock formation, discovered by local photographers only in 2017 to 2018 and now one of Skardu's most photographed hikes.
History
Relatively unknown until local photographers popularised it around 2017 to 2018, Marsur Rock has since become a genuine must do short hike for visitors specifically seeking a dramatic photo viewpoint beyond Skardu's standard lake and fort circuit.
