Overview
Malam Jabba is Pakistan's best developed ski resort, with a chairlift, groomed slopes and equipment rental drawing winter visitors from across the country December through February. Outside ski season, the chairlift and mountain views make it a worthwhile stop for hiking and scenery even in summer.
History
Developed as Pakistan's first purpose built ski resort starting in the 1990s, Malam Jabba was damaged during the 2007 to 2009 Swat insurgency and later rebuilt and reopened, now serving as a symbol of the valley's tourism recovery.
