Overview

Kund Malir is a long, largely untouched stretch of beach on the Makran Coastal Highway, backed by golden desert hills that meet the Arabian Sea in a striking contrast of colour. It's one of the most scenic stops on the Karachi-to-Gwadar coastal drive, with far fewer visitors than city beaches.

History

The beach lies along what has historically been a remote stretch of Balochistan's coastline, only made easily accessible after construction of the Makran Coastal Highway in the 2000s connected Karachi to Gwadar and opened the region to road tourism for the first time.
