The Kalash Museum in Bumburet Valley documents the Kalash people's distinct pre Islamic culture, religion and history, traditional dress, ritual objects and exhibits explaining the community's origins and beliefs, useful context before exploring the valleys themselves.

Built with support from international cultural preservation initiatives concerned about the long term survival of Kalash traditions, the museum represents a deliberate effort to document and preserve a culture found nowhere else in the world.
