The Hussaini Suspension Bridge, near Passu in Upper Hunza, is a rickety wooden plank and wire rope bridge crossing the turquoise Hunza River, often listed among the world's most precarious pedestrian bridges. Missing planks, swaying cables and a long drop to the river below make it a genuine adrenaline stop, and one of the most photographed spots on any Hunza itinerary.
History
The bridge has served local Wakhi and Burusho communities in the Gojal region for generations as a practical river crossing, long before it became a bucket list photo stop for international travelers following the Karakoram Highway.
