Eagle's Nest (Duikar Viewpoint), Hunza's Best Sunset Viewpoint

Eagle's Nest, above Duikar village, is widely considered the single best viewpoint in Hunza, a switchback drive above Karimabad opens onto a panorama taking in Rakaposhi, Ultar Sar, Diran and Golden Peak simultaneously. Sunset here, with the peaks turning pink and gold, is a highlight travelers consistently name as the best moment of their trip.

History

Duikar has long been the highest permanently settled village overlooking Karimabad, and its panoramic position was recognised early by trekkers and mountaineers passing through Hunza on their way to the Karakoram's bigger peaks, gradually turning it into the valley's signature sunset and sunrise viewpoint.
