Borith Lake, A Quiet Saline Lake Above Passu

Borith Lake sits above Passu village, a small saline lake ringed by willow trees and popular with campers and birdwatchers given its position on a migratory bird route, quieter and less commercialised than Attabad Lake despite similar mountain scenery.

History

The lake has traditionally been used by Gojal region herders, its saline water distinguishing it from Hunza's other freshwater lakes, with a small guesthouse settlement developing on its shore in recent decades.
