Balamik Valley, Remote Karakoram Side Valley

Balamik Valley is one of the lesser known side valleys around Skardu, appreciated by travelers looking to get further off the standard circuit. The drive in follows a narrow track along a mountain stream, with terraced fields giving way to bare Karakoram slopes and glacier fed water further up the valley.

There are no formal facilities here, which is part of the appeal, Balamik Valley suits travelers with a local guide and a 4x4 who want a genuine off the beaten path excursion rather than a polished tourist stop.
