History
The Baltoro region has drawn mountaineers since the early 20th century, with K2 (8,611m) first summited in 1954 by an Italian expedition. Concordia, the confluence point offering views of four 8,000m peaks simultaneously, has since become one of trekking's most legendary destinations.

A high glacier system accessed via Askole beyond Shigar, leading to Concordia at the base of K2, the second highest mountain on Earth, with no road access beyond the trailhead.
