Resort style (Skardu, Hunza): Shangrila Resort on Lower Kachura Lake and Serena Hunza represent the top standard mountain resort experience, full amenities, restaurant, striking settings, typically PKR 20,000 to 30,000 per night.
Mid range hotels (most destinations): Comfortable rooms, private bathrooms, breakfast included, reliably found in Karimabad, Skardu city, Naran, Kalam and Murree, generally PKR 6,000 to 14,000 per night and the sweet spot for most family and couple travelers.
Guesthouses and budget stays: Simple, clean, often family run, common throughout the mountains and essential in less developed destinations like Kumrat, Ghizer and Chapursan where formal hotels don't yet exist, typically PKR 3,000 to 6,000 per night.
City hotels (Lahore, Islamabad, Karachi): Full range from international 5 star chains to practical business hotels, generally better value than equivalent mountain region pricing given more competition and infrastructure.
Booking timing: Peak season (June August) and cherry blossom season (April May) fill the best mountain properties weeks in advance, we handle all hotel bookings as part of any package, but independent travelers should book 4+ weeks ahead for anything in high demand.
