Snow Lake (Lukpe Lawo), sitting at the head of the Biafo and Hispar glaciers, is one of the largest continuous ice basins on Earth outside the polar regions, a remote, expedition-level trekking destination.

Duration: Typically 18-21 days as part of the full Biafo-Hispar traverse, or a shorter round-trip via the Biafo Glacier alone.

Difficulty: Serious, sustained glacier travel, high altitude, and genuine remoteness with no easy exit points once committed to the route. This is for experienced trekkers only.

Why it's special: The sheer scale of ice and the feeling of genuine remoteness, Snow Lake sees a fraction of the visitors that reach Concordia, despite comparable scenic drama.
