Summer (June August) is a tale of two Pakistans, peak season in the mountains, and the least comfortable months almost everywhere else.
Northern mountains: This is peak season, full access to Deosai, Khunjerab Pass, Fairy Meadows and all trekking routes including K2 Base Camp. Warmest, most reliable weather of the year, but also the busiest and priciest.
Punjab plains: uncomfortable, temperatures often exceed 40°C, with monsoon rain arriving in July August. This is the season to avoid for Lahore, Multan and similar cities.
Sindh and Balochistan: Even hotter than Punjab in many areas, Sukkur and inland Sindh regularly see some of the country's highest recorded temperatures.
The honest trade off: If your trip is northern mountain focused, summer is the right season. If it includes significant time in the plains cities, expect real heat discomfort, plan indoor/AC time strategically.
