Cherry and apricot blossom season (April): Not a formal festival, but functions as one, Hunza and Skardu's orchards in bloom draw significant domestic and international visitor interest each spring, with timing shifting slightly year to year.
Shandur Polo Festival (July): Held at the world's highest polo ground, between Chitral and Gilgit, this multi day festival features traditional freestyle polo matches between Chitral and Gilgit teams, a genuine spectacle drawing visitors from across Pakistan and internationally.
Hunza Winter Festival (winter, dates vary): Traditional games, music and community celebration in a snow dusted Hunza, a distinctly different character from the valley's summer tourist season.
